• On Monday, a 27-year-old man in Williston was sentenced to life in prison for attempted murder last year. He will be required to serve 30 years before he is eligible for parole.

• A 50-year-old Williston man has died in a crash after allegedly losing control of his UTV in Williams County on Sunday.

• The North Dakota Public Service Commission announced it will hold a public hearing on Monday, June 30, in Williston regarding an application for a siting permit to construct a combined-cycle gas turbine generator in Williams County, which would be known as the Bison Generation Station.
