Road Construction, Oh My...

Bakken Bulletin // Issue #007

Bakken News Roundup

  • The construction at the corner of 26th Street and 2nd Ave is in full swing. It was reported they could see the amount of cones from the International Space Station. (Joking, of course) So advisable to avoid that intersection if possible.

  • A little bit of moisture the past week turned into nice weather again. Then starting this weekend, looking at a possibility of some rain. Turning into thunderstorms later next week.

  • Local child was reported missing in Williston. He was later found safe and sound.

  • Bethel Nursing and Rehabilitation center has submitted forms for a $15 Million funding request from Williams County to help with construction of their new facility. It is currently under review with the county.

  • XWA airport in Williston is listed as an exposure site for Measles outbreak. Make sure to go get checked if you are experiencing any symptoms. 4 new cases have been reported since last week.

  • Arnie’s Powersports in Williston, gave away around 350 youth helmets this past weekend for the #AllInForAvery free helmet giveaway. Great initiative to keep the local youth protected while they’re out having fun.

  • Williston Police Chief has officially resigned after being on paid administrative leave since December.
