Watford City “Rocket” Club?

...One small doodle for kids, one big mess for a club. 🚀

What would this newsletter be, without a weekly dose of Facebook drama? Well, this week didn’t disappoint. This week’s debacle was posted in at least two different groups I’m in. Bakken Fail Of The Day Disscussion Group and Watford City Whatz Up?!!

The post was made by a local RC club. It stated that the group was fed up with the constant vandalism by kids, to the club’s property. The vandalism is using up resources and funds that could be used towards club activities. And now they have no choice, but to lock the gates. Only members will have access to the property going forward. Which seems like a reasonable step to take.

Now at this point in the post. I’m invested in the story. I was inches away from my phone. Just wondering… “What are these vandals doing to warrant a full-on Facebook post?” As I swiped down to read the comments, there it was…

They aren’t perfect. But they’re out there practicing.

Not quite the vandalism that I was expecting. But, I suppose the Sandbox Bandits deserve to have a gate locked on them. For drawing such horrible “spacecraft”.

The further I swiped, it became obvious that the comment section was not having it. “Isn’t that dirt? Can’t you clean it up with your foot?” One commenter said. Another wrote, “These kids are out of control!” The comments seemed to be split 45/55. One side for the RC Club. The other side, defending the kids.

But we aren’t here to pick sides. I’ll leave the morality up to you. Just remember: In the end, nobody wants to see your dirt pics.
